About the U of L Literature Club

Picture
The U of L Literature Club’s main goal is to bring all types of readers together for discussion! We’re also here to help students who need assistance in analyzing literature for English courses. The Literature Club discusses a novel each month that is chosen by its members and executive. The year is divided into discussing four classical texts, as well as three or four “open-book” selections (biography, poetry, autobiography, etc.). The Literature Club is entering its second year at the U of L this year, and as such, is looking for many new members! We have a wide variety of events planned for the year already, including talks by local authors, “book-to-film” viewing nights, and the ever popular Wine & Cheese Extravaganza! If you think you’d be interested in joining, just send an email to [email protected] or come on down to the Atrium during Club Rush Week (September 13th - 17th 2010) and sign-up! It’s only $5.00 / semester + the cost of a few books! What are you waiting for? Sign up today!

Please bring your LEAST favourite book of all time to discuss with the group:-) Our featured text is Uncle Tom's Cabin but members do not have to have read it to attend.
